As a collaborative conference, our Network Partners host the 16 breakout sessions throughout the conference day.
Women United (formerly known as WLC) supports the unique health and human service needs of women and children in Southeast Louisiana. The group pools the time, talent, and financial resources of its members to bring to the forefront the positive impact which women can have on a community.
The WEN Southeast Louisiana Chapter was started in 2009 with approximately 37 members. Our vision for the region was to encourage professional women in southeast Louisiana working within the energy industry to join together to provide a networking forum and environment of enrichment (personal and professional).
LikeMinded Ladies is a membership organization of women passionate about inspiring others and being motivated in return. LikeMinded Ladies includes hard-working, talented women from all walks of life who enjoy the safe, open-minded experience they get through their involvement.
The Women's Leadership Academy (WLA) at Loyola University is designed to enable women in the region to achieve their greatest professional potential through leadership training, personal development, & one-on-one mentorships giving them the opportunity to grow & network with leaders in the region.
The Junior League of New Orleans is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
About Susan
Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of my mother designing Mardi Gras ball gowns. I can still hear the sewing machine; can still see the look of joy on Mom’s face when the gowns were finished; can still hear her voice as she spoke about fabric and design. That’s where my love of fashion began.
When I started my professional career, I found a wonderful way to channel that passion. As a personal shopper at Saks, I helped so many clients create beautiful wardrobes. And across my career, I’ve continued to find ways to help clients and friends find styles that best reflects their personalities and sensibilities.
After many satisfying years in the hospitality industry, I’m going back to my roots. I’m a personal shopper once again, and I chose those words very purposefully. I believe in a personal touch. There’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach for me. I’ll work closely with you to understand your particular style and your personal needs.
And, yes, I’m an expert shopper! I truly enjoy searching through racks of clothes, identifying just the right piece of jewelry and finding that perfect pair of shoes. And if you need someone to walk into your closet and organize your wardrobe---well, you’ve come to the right place!
One of my favorite quotes comes from Anne Klein, who said, “Clothes aren’t going to change the world. The women who wear them will.” Let me help you put your best foot forward as you change the world!
Syrita Steib founded Operation Restoration in 2016 to build a community and support system for women and girls impacted by incarceration to recognize their full potential, restore their lives and discover new possibilities.
Teamer Strategy Group was founded by the late Cheryl R. Teamer in 2009. It began as a company dedicated to advocacy, business development, event coordination, government relations, project management, and strategic planning. In 2021, Dr. Barnes-Teamer assumed the role of CEO. However, she has begun her independent practice January 1, 2022.
